TASK 1 - THE FIVE SENSES
This taks is composed by 4
different activities. We are going to teach some adjectives related to the five
senses. My students are studying the five senses at this moment and I want them
to learn the adjectives which they can identify with their senses.
Activity 1
The students usually work with
Edmodo so they have to log in this website to do the homework. The homework
consists on revising the adjectives with their pictures, as you can see in the
following image:
Activity 2
The following day the students are
going to work with these adjectives. In order to assess that, they are going to
complete a crossword created by the teacher in the useful tool called Educaplay.
In this activity they will see the picture and they will have to write the
letters properly, This tool helps them with some clues
(first letter, second letter...) and the teacher can evaluate that because
there is a score when they finish the activity.
Activity 3
After learning the meaning of the
adjectives, the students have to classify them. I am going to provide my
students a minmap created with "Coogle", a useful tool to create
online mindmaps. The idea is to project the mnindmap and they will have to
classify the adjectives taking into account the sense which identifies the
adjective. They can consult this mindmap but they have to write the different
groups of adjectives individually.
Activity 4
The final activity consists on
doing an oral presentation about the five senses and their adjectives. I will
provide a presentation created with "Prezi". In this presentation
they will have some structures that they can follow to do it properly. In
addition, they will prepare and do the presentation in pairs. Before doing the
presentation they will have 10 minutes to prepare it.

TASK 2 - THIS IS ME!
This task consists on working the listening
and writing skills through a song called this
is me. We have created three activities using four tools and taking account
the level of our English learners (7-8 years old).
Through the
song, children will learn vocabulary of the body. So before listening it, we
have created some flashcards in quizlet with keywords that we want the students

After that, we will play the song two or three times:
The first time, learners will
familiarize with the song, and the second and last time, learners will have to
fill in the blanks through hot potatoes program: file:///C:/Users/Nerea/Desktop/HOT%20POTATOES/SONG.htm
And in the last activity, students will
have to sing the song and record it through Audacity. Finally, they will have
to create a podcast in Podomatic, and for this, they will have to upload their
recording.
TASK 3 - CLIMATE CHANCE
Students have had some talks of ecological
awareness on climate change. After having listened carefully, they must
complete a short survey in SURVEY MONKEY:
(https://es.surveymonkey.com/s/3DCRWVZ) in order to see if they have
understood the talks and learned new knowledge.
After that, in small groups they should think about
possible solutions to stop the climate change. Each group’s member has to edit
the WIKI: (http://www.wikispaces.com/) in order
to write one solution. When all the students have written the solution they
will have a look to the rest of their classmates’ Wikis in order to vote the
best 10 alternatives. With the aid of the teacher they will have to discuss why
they have chosen those specific solutions giving reasons properly and finally
they will vote the solutions that they think are the best ones. These solutions
will be written in a final Wiki for future reference when doing the next
activity.
After choosing the possible solutions of the
Climate Change, students should create their own comic explaining the causes
and effects of this change. Students will use PIXTON COMICS (http://www.pixton.com/es/), an online creation tool that allows
our students to be creative, and at the same time, to improve their reading and
writing skills with both pictures and words. With this tool students elaborate

The students will send their productions to the
organization that is responsible for conducting talks in schools, in order to
help them in the next presentations with this visual way of explaining the
causes and solutions of the Climate Change. They will send their comics with TOCOMAIL: (https://tocomail.com/), a simplified and safe email for kids, made by
parents. The students get their own free email account with the aid of the
teacher, and the important thing is that a notification is sent to the parent's
phone when kind's email is received so they are always supervised. (nuriaer@tocomail.com)
TASK 4 - RECYCLING
This task is focused on the recycling topic.
First the students see the following video in YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQrgbxVSJEw
in order to get the basic knowledge.
Secondly they have to search a video about recycling in English. Once the learners have chosen a video, they have to write the subtitles by using Dotsub. This video will be uploaded to the Blog of the class.
In the second activity they have to be creative. The students have to create a story by using Storyjumper. This story must include relevant information about recycling and it might also be visually attractive. This story will be uploaded to the Blog of the class.
Finally they have to create a video by using Animoto. In this video they have to explain what they have learnt and they have also to explain how to use all the tools they have been working with (YouTube, Dotsub, Blog, Storyjumper and Animoto).
